Cold Plunge Ice Baths + Breathwork
(aka Wim Hof Method®)
Our Ice Bath Wellness Experience combines ancient practices with modern wellness science to offer profound physical and mental benefits. Step into the icy waters and embark on a journey of rejuvenation and resilience, guided by our skilled facilitators.
Begin with 25-30 minutes Wim Hof Method breathing exercises to prepare your mind and body, creating a mindful and focused state.
As you immerse yourself in the ice bath, the initial shock of the cold quickly gives way to invigorating clarity. The icy temperatures trigger your body's healing mechanisms, promoting circulation, reducing inflammation, and boosting your immune system. Endorphins - the feel-good chemicals in the brain that naturally elevate your mood are released, leaving you with a natural high and a sense of euphoria.
Our facilitators provide guidance and support, helping you focus on your breath and stay present. You may visualize the cold water washing away stress and negativity, leaving you feeling cleansed and renewed. The ice bath immersion cycle(s) typically lasts between 2-5 minutes, depending on individual tolerance.
Post experience, enjoy a profound sense of vitality and renewal. The contrast between cold immersion and the warmth of the environment heightens your senses, leaving you deeply connected to your body and the natural world.

The Wim Hof Method can be practiced by every healthy individual. When the WHM is practiced in the correct way, it can contribute to a healthy, strong, and happy life. As breathing techniques and cold exposure can affect the physiology of the
body, this can have a profound effect on people in poor health or with certain illnesses. If you are dealing with a serious medical or psychological condition, we advise counseling a healthcare professional before attempting any of the WHM techniques.
We advise against practicing the WHM if you are dealing with any of the following:
Coronary heart disease (e.g. Angina Pectoris; Stable Angina)
Cold urticaria
Epilepsy
Kidney failure
Raynaud’s Syndrome (Type II)
High blood pressure (in case of prescription medication)
A history of serious health issues like heart failure or stroke
Shortly after an operation
If you suffer from migraines, we urge you to be cautious about taking ice baths.
Free Bird Retreats requires all attendees to obtain physician authorization to participate in Wim Hof Wellness Treatments
